Trend & Escalation Assessment: direction and escalation potential

Not every issue deserves a response of the same weight. Some subside on their own; others strengthen and require fast action. This module assesses the direction an issue is taking together with its potential to escalate, so that priority is set by expected impact rather than by the order in which items appeared.

It sits at stage 02 (Analytics & Insight) and takes its material from Narrative Event Detection and the Strategic Insight Composer. Its output feeds the Strategic Response Advisor at stage 03 (Strategy & Action), and gives leadership a reference point when deciding which issue to handle first.

How is the assessment used to set priorities?

Does this module also track an issue after a response?

This module works in the analytics stage. After a response runs, impact is measured at stage 05 (Impact Evaluation) through Digital Sentiment Assessment and Media Impact Assessment, whose results return to the database. The two therefore work at different stages of the same cycle.
