Strategic Response Advisor in the NIRES pipeline
Strategic Response Advisor is the sixth NIRES module and the first module of the Strategy & Action stage. It receives the analytical output of the previous stage — primarily from Strategic Insight Composer and Trend & Escalation Assessment — and turns it into AI-based strategic response recommendations. Its output is the working input for Response Task Management.
This is where monitoring findings stop being a report and start becoming a decision. The module analyses issue dynamics — narrative direction, key actors, geographic spread and escalation potential — and composes contextual response options rather than another list of issues. All of its analytical input comes from the NIRES Media Monitoring Database, the source of record for the whole pipeline, and every recommendation that is executed enriches that database through the continuous feedback loop.

Are the recommendations executed automatically?
No. Recommendations are decision support. After review by the responsible officials, they are translated into assignments in Response Task Management, and every activity in the following stage passes through RBAC and multi-tier approval before it runs.
How is this different from a conventional analytics report?
An analytics report explains what is happening. Strategic Response Advisor moves to the next question: which response is contextual for this issue, on which channel, and with which key messages. Monitoring findings are connected directly to action rather than to another document.
